Eating on the Run

Tomorrow I will run 4-5 hours- all at one time.  Probably, hopefully 5.  This week and next will be my weeks with the highest mileage.  I am really hoping that I am ready!  Tonight I have a Sport Club meeting to go to - I am hoping to recruit enough running partners to get me through the miles on Sat and Sun!

Fueling plan:  Tonight - Quinoa and Black Beans **Scrumptious**
During run:

And after:  Really can't beat chocolate milk.  Whoever said "don't cry over spilled milk" is so wrong!

  2. but I have to ask...why chocolate milk? If I ever in my wildest dreams could even fathom running 5 hours...all at one...I would choose to dive into a pool of margheritas...or matrinis...or rum punches...

anywho...you are amazing...simply put! I hope you nailed it!

    how is your mom btw?

    1. Oooooh - chocolate milk tastes so good after running! And it has the right ratio of protein to carbs for a recovery drink. I don't remember what the ratio is. I like your idea of recovery drinks better and LOVE rum punch!!

Mom is having another surgery tomorrow. Her heart stopped on Thurs. for a bit so they have decided she needs a pacemaker. I will take off from school tomorrow so I can be with her. Thanks for asking!

      How is everything with you?
